Modern Wave Studs - Solid Sterling Silver, Vintage Spoon
These lightweight earrings have been carefully handcrafted in my studio in Northern Ireland using traditional jewellery making techniques. They have been created from solid sterling silver coffee spoons.
The bowl of the spoon has been hammered flat using traditional tools which gives each pair a unique character and slightly beaten texture. Then it is cut in half into a modern shape and the silver earring posts are attached at one end. Each earring measures 4cm in length.
Choose between a classic silver finish, or a modern blackened silver look.
This design has been made using vintage silverware which has been upcycled so that it can be enjoyed every day. These pieces carry a rich history yet look modern and elegant. They are a lightweight and striking design which can be comfortably worn all day.
All my designs are handcrafted using recycled sterling silver to ensure they are environmentally responsible. This pair of earrings has been handcrafted using upcycled vintage sterling silver spoons from the 1930s. As these are made from vintage silverware there may be some small marks in the silver which adds to their charm.
