How do I clean my silver jewellery?

Silver can naturally tarnish over time, especially when it's in regular contact with our skin due to the natural oils present - But with a little care you can bring back it's beautiful shine!

There are a few ways you can clean silver jewellery. First there are lots of silver polishing products & creams which you can purchase that do a great job! ‘Town Talk Silver Sparkle’ Cleaning liquid is fantastic for cleaning chains etc quickly - Not sponsored I just think it’s a very handy product!
One essential bit of kit is a jewellery polishing cloth. It sounds simple but trust me this will be your jewellery box's new lifelong best friend.

If you have sensitive skin or want to avoid chemicals then lemon juice or a gentle liquid soap is another option - There are some great online tutorials of this available.

One way to maintain that lovely shine from day one is to try keeping your silver in an airtight container.
It's very simple but keeping your jewellery in a sealed bag and away from air/moisture will slow any tarnishing when it's not being worn.

I always recommend that you take off your jewellery before showering, swimming or doing any exercise where it could become lost/damaged. If you're applying any make-up or lotions always remove your jewellery first and allow your skin to dry before wearing a gain to avoid early tarnishing.
